Associate, Strategic & Business Planning

Key Responsibilities

  • A Strategic & Business Planning Associate in NUR will get hands-on experience in the energy industry and is responsible for building our company’s business pipeline. Primary duties include conducting techno-commercial assessment of potential projects, preparing business proposals, and maintaining relationships with strategic business partners.
  • Assist and support Manager of Strategic & Business Planning in planning, organizing, and implementing plans and strategies.
  • Support Strategic & Business Planning department in preparation for tender submissions, requests for proposals, and quotations to customers.
  • Conduct techno-commercial analysis and prepare business proposals for potential clients and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of internal strategy papers, memos, and presentations for senior management and board-level discussions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new power projects, including assessing cost-effectiveness, technical requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare market research and analysis on the power industry, including political and economic outlook for various countries and regions, with awareness of economy, finance, law, and regulations, and risk management.
  • Build direct pipeline, establish, and maintain relationships with strategic business partners, regulators, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, suppliers, and industry partners, to stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Take on ad-hoc projects as instructed.
  • Any other responsibilities that may be required, in the interests of the Company, from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering / Business / Management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in business development/energy industry.
  • Experience or exposure to sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles in the energy sector would be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to convert facts into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work autonomously and multitask.
  • Fluent in oral and written Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
