At the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai, UEM Lestra and NUR Power took a meaningful step forward in Malaysia’s clean energy journey by signing an agreement to develop a 500 MWac solar plant at Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP).
The signing was witnessed by YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Minister of Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change, highlighting national support for the transition to renewable energy.
For NUR Power, this project isn’t just about scale; it’s about impact. By significantly increasing Malaysia’s solar capacity, the partnership reflects a shared commitment to sustainable power generation, innovation, and long-term environmental responsibility. Once completed, the plant will stand as a milestone for KHTP and a catalyst for the country’s green energy objectives.
